First thing to note, this is where Mom and I first discovered the DIY frozen yogurt. Since then, Mom has absolutely fallen in love with the concept. She has been wanting to return here for the past two years and decided to get the $20 for $25 gift card promotion, especially since there is a store in Philly as well. We actually shared two bowls between the three of us, but the photo for one did not work out and will be in another post (we loved the combination so much we made it again!).
This time, we tried the Taro-bly Delicious and Coffee frozen yogurts, topped with Plain Mochi, Cookie Dough, Sweet Red Beans, and Halo Halo. The taro flavour was so creamy, rich, and sweet that Mom found it too sweet. I loved, though, despite it not being quite so refreshing. The Coffee was not sweet at all but rather aromatic and bitter. The two richer flavours went well with the toppings. The Plain Mochi was sweet and chewy, as was the Cookie Dough. The Sweet Red Beans were mushy and, well, sugary. I loved the Halo Halo with its myriad of ingredients, especially the coconut and palm fruit. All in all, it was one bowl of cool deliciousness!
