Last day of the horse show means the last McDonald’s breakfast as a source of energy and supposedly nutritious food ready almost immediately. Four consecutive days of McDonald’s and I have not yet run out of options I would want to order. That goes to show how extensive the menu is. Despite the fact I am not a fan of burgers, after years of not eating one, I would not mind eating a Cheeseburger or something else right now. There are always McChicken and Filet-O-Fish as well, but those will have to wait for later on. On this final day of my McDonald’s streak, I was craving a little Mexican. Also, the tortilla I had with the Mediterranean Chicken Snack Wrap two days ago was so soft and warm it left me wanting more.

The Breakfast Burrito comes toasted with sausage, peppers, scrambled eggs, and gooey cheese wrapped in a soft tortilla. They also give you a packet of salsa, which I love for its mild spice and tanginess. It adds a stronger flavour to the otherwise rich and creamy roll from the eggs and cheese. The cheese is always important for me. I love gooey stickiness. The eggs were fluffy and the sausage tender. The peppers added some nice colour and moist crunch to the wrap. This tortilla was over-toasted, though. Quite a bit of the outside had hardened and was not really edible. The bottom also had thick layers of folded tortilla and the shape looked like an inverted cone instead of a nicely filled and round burrito. Again, the ingredients are good and tasty. However, McDonald’s seriously need to step up their game when it comes to carefully assembling the ingredients. The taste was great but the presentation was really lacking. Just being more careful putting the food together would make it so much better. For $1.99 though, I am not complaining. I would take the cheese, eggs, and salsa any day!
