T&T Bakery came up with yet another new product! This 巨蛋抹茶红豆面包 (Milk Green Tea Red Bean Bread) looks rather like a pie, but it most certainly is not. On top is a sugary crust, similar to the traditional pineapple topping. The difference is that this is whiter, less sweet, and with the rich aroma of milk. I loved the crumbling texture and the lighter sweetness. It certainly matched the matcha, or green tea, flavour of the bread. It was not only very green in colour on the inside but also tasted strongly of green tea with that nice yet slight bitterness. The red beans or azuki beans embedded throughout the large bread was also sweetened and hard and crumbly in texture, providing a nice contrast to the soft and fluffy bread. Overall, it was three very Asian flavours seamlessly blended into a huge pie-shaped bread.
