Spice Up those Pumpkins! – Dunkin’ Donuts

To celebrate National Pumpkin Day, I headed to Dunkin’ Donuts again. I was also in a hurry and needed to get something I could eat on the go.

I started with a Pumpkin Donut. It had quite a strong pumpkin spice flavor that went very nicely with the sugar glaze. The cake doughnut was moist and overall very decent.Image

The Pumpkin Muffin was more complicated, with a buttery sugar coating on too that was very crumbly but not very sweet. The muffin was moist yet dense and distinctly pumpkin. I could have used more sweetness though.

The Honey Bran Raisin Muffin was not good. It was moist and dense but hardly sweet. The texture was not rough enough for a bran muffin and I could not taste any honey. At least there were plenty of plump, juicy raisins that appealed to me on some level.Image

The Strawberry Frosted Donut was surprisingly good. The punk frosting was not only pretty but also tasted strongly of that artificial strawberry flavor which does appeal to my palate. The yeast doughnut was soft and with the strawberry frosting was quite pleasant.Image
