The holidays are finally here! Starbucks is still keeping up with their tradition of holiday beverages, served in warming little cafés decked out in cozy holiday décor. Image

The Caramel Brulée Latte is by far my favorite Starbucks hand-crafted beverage. The caramel brulée syrup is so rich and sweet, with a very strong torched caramel flavor. With espresso shots and coffee aromas, it is one of my must holiday indulgences. The crunchy caramel sugar bits on top were a great addition!

This was my first time trying the Gingerbread Latte. It was not very sweet but with a rather rich gingerbread flavor. However, it was not too strong that it became overwhelming. Instead, it was aromatic and with a rich coffee aroma. Image

The Turkey Bacon White Cheddar Classic Breakfast Sandwich was toasted to perfection. The whole grain English muffin-like bread was soft and aromatic, especially with the melted white cheddar cheese. The egg whites were light and fluffy, a perfect complement to the cheese. The turkey bacon was savory and crispy. It was certainly a quality, satisfying breakfast sandwich!Image

The Holiday Gingerbread is another holiday classic and a must-have every year. The gingerbread loaf was very soft and moist while dense enough to be slightly chewy, like a pound cake almost. The ginger flavor was just right and it was also sweet enough. Slightly greasy, it did not taste like it, which is good. The icing was also very sweet, perfect for my taste and clearly made with a lot of sugar. The candied orange bits on top were not my favorite bites, but it did provide a little extra flavor and texture.Image

The Frosted Snowman Cookie was quite simple – a shortbread cookie with sugar frosting and chocolate frosting. The cookie was quite thin and not buttery enough. However, with the amount of decorating frosting, it was sweet enough for a cookie. The cookie was also not very crumbly but a little dry and hard. It was sweet and cute, though!Image

The Starbucks Classic Coffee Cake had great flavor. It was very similar to the Reduced-Fat Cinnamon Swirl Coffee Cake but with less cinnamon streusel. The crumble topping was good but a little too buttery and not sweet enough. The cake was also slightly dry but that was probably due to being left in the food case a little too long. It would have probably been better had it been freshly taken out of the packaging. Still, it was a great compliment to the coffee. Image

The Blueberry Scone was not too dry and could have been a touch sweeter. It was quite buttery but it was not a heavy dessert. There were plenty of sweet, ripe blueberries, giving it a distinct fruity flavor. It was not my favorite scone ever but the quality was quite good and made for a nice afternoon treat.

A whole two months to celebrate the holiday spirit sound absolutely divine. The entire café is just so cheerful and comforting that it is almost magical. Clearly, this is one of my favorite spots to sit and sip on some caffeine during the winter months.
