みたらし団子 {Mitarashi Dango}

ImageAnother traditional Japanese delicacy – the みたらし団子 {Mitarashi Dango}. Dango is a round dumpling made out of rice flour, similar to mochi. The outside is coated in a sticky, sweet soy sauce that has a texture like thick syrup. It was so sticky but so sweet with a slight savoury undertone. This was absolutely amazing!

    My favourite! The mitarashi syrup is to die for! Also, I once had sakura flavoured dango in Japan and I instantly fell in love with it! Sticky, chewy, sweet goodness!
