Candy Bar PIe
Free Cone Day came and went, and I was so happy as I walked over to the sweet-smelling ice cream shop that the weather was FINALLY warming up. Actually, it went from very chilly to very hot just that week. It seemed like the weather system wanted us to enjoy Free Cone Day. Thus, lines were long, but I managed to try two flavours anyways!
The Liz Lemon is the new flavour, named after 30 Rock’s character played by the lovely Tina Fey, is a lemon Greek frozen yogurt with a blueberry lavender swirl. I loved the creaminess and the lightness from the lemon, with that slight tang that is not as strong as some lemon-flavoured things. The blueberry lavender swirl was not exactly distinct but very aromatic.
The Candy Bar Pie is another of their new flavours – peanut butter ice cream with fudge flakes, chocolate nougat, and sweet and salty pretzel swirls. Sounds tasty, right? Believe me, it was cool, delightful decadence! The peanut butter ice cream was creamy, rich, yet still sweet and light. The fudge flakes and chocolate nougat, while not standing out, added to the chocolate aroma. I could not taste too much of the pretzel swirls either, but the mixture of everything was just great!
